Il Ciliegio

As on the surface of a canvas, the seams are “painted” according to an harmonious and sensual design that develops over the entire headboard to create an emotion, an experience, a dream. The perimeter strips are covered with the same material as the headboard and are joined to the footboard by two small cast-bronze feet. These, tall and slender, lend grace to the bed and guarantee a threedimensional perception of the structure. The surfaces of the bedside tables, like two small painter’s palettes, further enhance the lightness of the headboard with their jutting position. A sinuous foot at the end of a graceful stem anchors them to the base, as if they were supported by an artist’s hand. In this object, the cast bronze details are emphasized, along with the fineness of the leather work.
