Il Leccio

This desk recreates an early twentieth-century vibe. Small solid wood roller shutters conceal the pigeonholes and the central pull-out writing surface. It functions as a real secrétaire, where private and valuable documents can be safely kept. Contrary to today’s fast and superficial handling of written correspondence, this object aims to recover that romantic and a bit retro “taste” for writing letters by hand. The splendid leather cladding of the writing surface, combined with elements made of high-quality wood, heightens the item’s value, while the four turned solid wood legs with brass tips complete the desk and lend it gracefulness and a highly recognizable style.
