Il Bosso

When we think of the Narcissus myth, we condense it into the image of the young man happily lost in contemplation of his own reflection. The shattering of the reflective pool of water when he falls in is rendered in the destructured composition of these surfaces. The images recompose the figure through movement and the passing of time, creating several perspectives of the same image. These figures are then geometrized and reassembled in a three-dimensional interlocking mosaic. Further accentuating this feeling of shatteredness, the use of monochrome confuses planes and figures.
