TABLE

The table goes back to the canonical lines and shapes of classical art, developing and exalting the principles of the curve and the circle in all their parts. The inlaid brass design on the marble tabletop suggests an ellipse that contains a circle, which in turn develops by concentric circles around the central area. The base of the table is formed by the skillful bending of solid wood. The material contrast of the two types of wood, set one alongside the other, further highlights the complexity of the process.
